Volleyball Recap: Yreka Comes Up Short

Yreka lost against University Prep last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Miners took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Maya Tabarez was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six matches.

Yreka has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for University Prep, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 21-7.

Yreka has already played their next contest (against Grants Pass), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for University Prep, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against South Medford on the 4th.
