Baseball Recap: Sunrise Mountain Beats Horizon for Their Third Straight Win

Sunrise Mountain had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Horizon Huskies. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

The team relied heavily on Dominick Santalucia, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Murphy, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Sunrise Mountain's record is now 14-9. As for Horizon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.
