Basketball Recap: Tristan Kuhlman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Onaga over Clifton-Clyde

Onaga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 47-22 to the Clifton-Clyde Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Eagles are ranked 126th).

Onaga lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tristan Kuhlman, who posted six points and six rebounds. Those six boards gave Kuhlman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Casen Hutfles, who earned seven points and ten rebounds.

Onaga's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Clifton-Clyde, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5-2.

Onaga has already played their next match (against Frankfort), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Clifton-Clyde will take on Washington County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clifton-Clyde is facing Washington County at the right time seeing as Washington County is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
