Soccer Recap: Mica Mountain Comes Up Short

If Mica Mountain was riding high fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Sahuaro last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mica Mountain Thunderbolts took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Toros on Friday. The contest was a 2-2 toss-up at halftime, but the Thunderbolts couldn't quite close it out.

Wyatt Pakkala and Julian Ordaz scored both of Mica Mountain's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Mica Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Mountain View, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mica Mountain will welcome Ironwood Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mountain View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Casteel at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
