Basketball Game Preview: Borah Lions vs. Vallivue Falcons

The Borah Lions and the Vallivue Falcons will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Borah is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 64-58 victory over Thunder Ridge on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Vallivue suffered their closest loss since January 10th on Saturday. They fell just short of Ridgevue by a score of 63-61. The Falcons have struggled against the Warhawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Borah will have to contain Dominik Betancourt as he made an impact in Vallivue's last game. He went 9 of 13 on his way to 26 points. With that strong performance, Betancourt is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryton Kiester, who posted eight points.

Borah now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Vallivue, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Borah against Vallivue when the teams last played back in November of 2017, as the team secured a 79-51 win. Will Borah repeat their success, or does Vallivue have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
