Volleyball Game Preview: Spencerville Bearcats vs. Fort Recovery Indians + How To Watch

The Spencerville Bearcats will face off against the Fort Recovery Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Spencerville took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Jefferson. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Spencerville not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Jefferson between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Fort Recovery played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. Everything went their way against New Knoxville as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Fort Recovery never let New Knoxville on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 25-23.

Spencerville's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-11. As for Fort Recovery, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Spencerville couldn't quite get it done against Fort Recovery when the teams last played back in September of 2016 as they fell 2-0. Thankfully for the Bearcats, Kiah Wendel (who had nine aces and three digs) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
