Basketball Game Preview: Daniel Lions vs. Greer Yellow Jackets

Having just played yesterday, the Daniel Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Greer Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a seven-game winning streak alive.

On Friday, Daniel beat Travelers Rest 59-46. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Devildogs are ranked 200th).

Daniel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emory McIntyre out in front who posted ten points and seven boards. McIntyre is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Dex Johnson, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, Greer made easy work of Pickens on Friday and carried off a 72-47 victory.

Daniel's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Greer, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Daniel beat Greer 59-52 in their previous matchup back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Yellow Jackets' Jyssiah Foster, who shot 47% from the field en route to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
