Winder-Barrow posted their closest win since August 21st on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Dawson County Tigers. For the Bulldoggs, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Winder-Barrow was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (64-57), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 26-24, 17-15.

When it comes to explaining why Dawson County lost, don't look at Aspen Rooke. Despite the final result, she had eight kills, seven digs, and one block. Rooke is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Winder-Barrow is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Dawson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-11.

Winder-Barrow has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Stephens County on the 10th. As for Dawson County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against White County on the 10th.
