Volleyball Recap: Sheridan's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sheridan waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Carroll Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. The Blackhawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-12.

Lainey Mendenhall paced Sheridan's offense, picking up 16 kills. Mendenhall got some help from Adria Jump and her 27 assists. Jump also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Eva Todd, racking up seven apiece.

Sheridan's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Coming up, Sheridan will take on Anderson at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Carroll, they will face off against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
