Softball Recap: Clifton Takes a Loss

Clifton fell victim to Lakeland Regional and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Lancers, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Mustangs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Clifton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Lakeland Regional, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Clifton will challenge Eastside at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeland Regional, they will square off against Wayne Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.11 runs per game on average), something the Lancers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
