Soccer Game Preview: Colorado Academy vs. Prospect Ridge Academy

Colorado Academy has won four straight games at home, while Prospect Ridge Academy has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Mustangs will welcome the Miners at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Colorado Academy's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last five contests.

Colorado Academy had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the nine-goal drubbing they dealt Peak to Peak on Tuesday. The Mustangs never let the Pumas get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Colorado Academy in their matchups with Peak to Peak: they've now won seven in a row.

Colorado Academy's offense was hitting Peak to Peak from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Celina Frenz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Prospect Ridge Academy after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Jefferson Academy by a score of 2-1. Prospect Ridge Academy haven't had much luck with Jefferson Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Colorado Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-1-2. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
