Downers Grove North had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Glenbard West Hilltoppers. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Hilltoppers on May 3rd, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Downers Grove North easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12.

Aiden Akkawi paced Downers Grove North's offense, picking up 11 kills. Akkawi were helped by Jude Caldwell and Ethan Weiner, who contributed 13 assists each.

Downers Grove North's win bumped their record up to 30-4. As for Glenbard West, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 29-5.

Coming up, Downers Grove North will take on Metea Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Glenbard West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
