Volleyball Recap: Academe of the Oaks Comes Up Short

Academe of the Oaks lost against Valor Christian back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Firebirds came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0.

While Academe of the Oaks was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Valor Christian's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-23.

Academe of the Oaks' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Valor Christian, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academe of the Oaks will take on Lighthouse Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Valor Christian, they will face off against Trinity Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
