Softball Recap: Fike Takes a Loss

If Fike was riding high fresh off their 24-0 takedown of Hunt last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Demons lost 12-5 to the American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots on Wednesday.

Fike saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Vincent, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Fike's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Looking ahead, Fike will head out on the road to face off against South Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Demons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 13.7 runs per game this season. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, they will host Central Carolina Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
