Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DeKalb County). They were the clear victors by a 19-0 margin over the Cumberland County Jets on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Kora Kilgore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, DeKalb County got a massive performance out of Rylee Wilbur, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
