Overton and Union Grove are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Overton will be strutting in after a victory while Union Grove will be coming in after a defeat.

Overton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Ore City on Wednesday as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Mustangs have beaten the Rebels the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rebels has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Rylan Holleman, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Union Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Harleton, falling 14-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered since April 17, 2025.

Union Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Overton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.

Overton got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Union Grove by a conclusive 9-1 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
