McLaurin won the last time they faced Wesson and TY Williams did his part to make sure it happened again. The Tigers took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 75-41 win over the Cobras with plenty of help from Williams, who shot 69% from the field en route to 23 points along with six assists and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game.

Trent White was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds. He has become a key player for McLaurin: the team is undefeated when he posts at least eight boards, but 4-6 otherwise.

Despite the loss, Wesson still got an impressive performance from Kemari Brown, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 17 points and seven rebounds. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Damarion Smith, who posted ten points.

McLaurin now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wesson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

McLaurin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 53-52 loss against Crystal Springs on the 12th. As for Wesson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-31 defeat against Franklin County on the 15th.
