Basketball Recap: Hannah Bledsoe Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Shakamak

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Knox, Barr-Reeve was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They took down the Shakamak Lakers 40-26. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 38-33 win the Lakers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Barr-Reeve's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Bledsoe, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards. Bledsoe is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played. Paighton Parsons was another key player, going 5 of 7 en route to 14 points.

Barr-Reeve is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Shakamak, they moved to 11-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Barr-Reeve will head out on the road to square off against Eastern Greene at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shakamak, they will welcome Vincennes Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
