Volleyball Recap: FAMU DRS Takes a Loss

FAMU DRS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Wakulla Christian School Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-8.

Wakulla Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Barber led the charge by getting 11 aces. Those 11 aces gave Barber a new career-high. Eme Guyer was another key player, getting nine assists and four aces.

FAMU DRS' loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Wakulla Christian School, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-5.

FAMU DRS has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Godby on the 2nd. As for Wakulla Christian School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Maclay on the 2nd.
