Football Recap: Seven Rivers Christian Comes Up Short

Seven Rivers Christian has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 14.71 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Wildwood Wildcats 36-0. The Warriors lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in April of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 2-0 score last time.

Zoey Brown went supernova for Wildwood, rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 75 yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Brown a new career-high in passer rating (117.6).

Seven Rivers Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

Coming up, Seven Rivers Christian will square off against Hernando at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hernando will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Seven Rivers Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wildwood, they will take on St. Cloud at 6:00 p.m. on March 26th. St. Cloud's defense has only allowed 9.3 points per game this season, so Wildwood's offense will have their work cut out for them.
