Volleyball Recap: Cherry Comes Up Short

Cherry suffered their biggest defeat since October 8, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against the Mesabi East Giants, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Giants: they've now lost seven in a row.

Cherry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Mesabi East, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cherry will square off against rival Chisholm at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mesabi East is set to face off against their familiar foe North Woods at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
