Football Recap: East Wake Takes a Loss + How To Watch

East Wake managed to slip by Knightdale the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors were outmatched by the Knights and fell 64-14. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Jaiveon Johnson threw for 112 yards on 11 of 25 attempts. Tzion Stone was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Nelson Ruffin rushed for 74 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

Jamel Perry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Knightdale, throwing for 255 yards and six touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 53 yards and one score on only six carries. Those six passing touchdowns gave Perry a new career-high. Zayshaun Bennett was Perry's top target, picking up 136 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

East Wake's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Knightdale, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-7.

Coming up, East Wake will face off against Sanderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Knightdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
