Softball Recap: South Central Gets the Win

South Central hadn't done well against Borden recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rebels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Braves a 5-0 shutout. For the Rebels, this counts as revenge for the 8-1 victory the Braves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Delaney Pennington was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2025. Breanna Hess was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

South Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

South Central's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Borden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
