Northwest Rankin had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 6-1 margin over the Pearl Pirates. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Pearl from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Matthew Todd led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Northwest Rankin's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Pearl, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Northwest Rankin is taking a road trip to face off against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pearl, they will host Petal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
