 Silver Creek put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Longmont Trojans  a   10-0 shutout. This was payback for Silver Creek, who suffered  an  8-6  defeat the last time these two teams met.
  Nolan Gaccetta tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in six consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Silver Creek got a  massive  performance out of  Isaac Sandberg, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nate Spiegel, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI and a  double.
 Silver Creek has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record  this season. As for Longmont, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-9.
 Silver Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against Longmont: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 2:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
