Oakdale won against Harriman last Tuesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Eagles came out on top against the Oneida Indians by a score of 4-0. The Eagles' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Not much got past Rhylan Hicks, who gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Oneida off the board. Hicks has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Rilee Goodson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-4. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Hannah Davidson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Oakdale pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Oneida, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Oakdale has already played their next matchup, a 14-0 win against Rockwood on the 24th. As for Oneida, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-2 defeat against Cumberland County on the 25th.
