Softball Recap: Oceanside Falls Short of Scripps Ranch in the Playoffs

Oceanside and Scripps Ranch squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Oceanside had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 8-7. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seaven Fuimaono made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Irie Filo was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Oceanside now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Scripps Ranch, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Oceanside nor Scripps Ranch have any future games scheduled.
