Loving has gone 9-1 against Jal recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Loving will be taking part in a tournament against Jal at 10:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Loving's tournament run continued when they took on Lovington on Thursday. Loving lost 13-1 to Lovington. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loving saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Tarvin, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jal faced off against Santa Rosa on Thursday. Jal came up short against Santa Rosa, falling 23-8.

Javier Santillan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Santillan is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Juarez, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Jal dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Loving, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Loving's way against Jal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Loving made off with a 7-1 win. Does Loving have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jal turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
