Recap: Stone Mountain Pirates vs. Stephenson Jaguars
The Stone Mountain Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Stephenson on the road and fell 55-27. Stone Mountain has not had much luck with Stephenson recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shameon King, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Makayla Wilson, who scored 3 points along with 7 rebounds.
Stone Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Stephenson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.
Stone Mountain will be playing in front of their home fans against Druid Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Druid Hills is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Stephenson, they will head out on the road to face off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
