Baseball Recap: Harbor Light Christian Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Harbor Light Christian waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Pellston Hornets a 16-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Swordsmen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Daniel Urman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Harbor Light Christian got a massive performance out of Vaughn Henagan, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Henagan has posted since back in May of 2024. Ayden Burns was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Harbor Light Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .520 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Harbor Light Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Pellston, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Harbor Light Christian will venture away from home to face off against North Michigan Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pellston, they will take on Rudyard at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
