Volleyball Recap: Bemidji Lumberjacks vs. East Grand Forks Green Wave

Bemidji was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the East Grand Forks Green Wave, falling 3-0. The Lumberjacks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Wave apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Bemidji ultimately came up short, they really made East Grand Forks work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 27-25, 25-22.

East Grand Forks can attribute much of their success to Kelsey Spilde, who had 11 digs and two aces. Spilde has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Bemidji's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for East Grand Forks, their victory ended a six-match drought on the road and puts them at 16-14.

Looking ahead, Bemidji will take on Stewartville in a tournament on Saturday. East Grand Forks does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
