Soccer Game Preview: Shadow Ridge vs. Green Valley

The Shadow Ridge Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Green Valley Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shadow Ridge's last seven matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Shadow Ridge is headed into Tuesday's match following a draw, the team's first since September 15. Neither they nor Cimarron-Memorial could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Green Valley had to settle for a 4-3 defeat against Sports Leadership & Management on Wednesday.

Amilcar Cipili and Jordan Trillo scored all three of the Gators' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Shadow Ridge's draw gives them a new season record of 6-4-3. As for Green Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6-1.

Shadow Ridge skirted past Green Valley 2-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
