Basketball Recap: Madras' Loss Ends 13-Game Winning Streak at Home

It was a good run, but Madras unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to the Crook County Cowboys. The White Buffaloes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cowboys apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Madras' loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-4. As for Crook County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.

Madras and Crook County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Madras will square off against Estacada at 6:30 p.m. on Monday up 98 places (42 vs. 140). Meanwhile, Crook County (ranked 44th) will meet Gladstone (ranked 166th) at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
