Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Advance Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Morgan Populis paced Central's offense, picking up five kills. Populis got some help from Mallory Miles and her eight assists.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Advance, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 15-13 record.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Potosi on the 14th. As for Advance, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Bloomfield on the 14th.
