Softball Recap: Hayfork Comes Up Short

Hayfork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 23-3 to the Loyalton Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-2 on Monday.

Hayfork's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Loyalton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hayfork is set to square off against their familiar foe Princeton at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Loyalton will take on rival Plumas Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
