Recap: St. Joseph Academy Flashes vs. Gateway Charter Griffins

The St. Joseph Academy Flashes had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 42-31 victory over Gateway Charter.

St. Joseph Academy had a senior duo take command as Kelly Cramer scored 19 points along with three steals and Zariyah Turner scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Cramer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

Several Griffins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alisea Doan, who scored seven points along with seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmyne Trubina, who scored ten points.

St. Joseph Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Gateway Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.
