Baseball Recap: West Monona Comes Up Short

West Monona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Woodbine Tigers. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Tigers when the teams met back in July of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Monona's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Woodbine, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

West Monona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodbine, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center on the 8th.
