Cupertino has gone 8-2 against Fremont recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Pioneers will be playing at home against the Firebirds at 4:00 p.m. Cupertino will be strutting in after a victory while Fremont will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Cupertino got the win against MacDonald by a conclusive 14-2. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Fremont had taken Santa Clara down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Firebirds took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. That's two games in a row now that the Firebirds have lost by exactly four runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Fremont and nudges their season record down to 15-6. As for Cupertino, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10-1.

Cupertino skirted past Fremont 5-4 in their previous meeting back in March. Do the Pioneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Firebirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
