Baseball Recap: L.W. Higgins Comes Up Short

L.W. Higgins blew Archbishop Shaw out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Archbishop Shaw got their revenge. The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes fell just short of the Archbishop Shaw Eagles by a score of 3-1. The game marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for L.W. Higgins and nudges their season record down to 9-4. As for Archbishop Shaw, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. L.W. Higgins will venture away from home to take on Benjamin Franklin at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Archbishop Shaw, they will square off against Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Archbishop Shaw surely won't give up without a fight.
