Softball Recap: Ludlow's Run of Six Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Ludlow unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 6-3 to the Dayton Greendevils. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Greendevils earlier this season, when they won 15-5.

Ludlow saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miley Lay, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Juliette Hansen, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Ludlow's loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Dayton, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 4-13 record.

Coming up, Ludlow will head out to take on St. Henry at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dayton, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Villa Madonna at 5:00 p.m. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.06 runs per game on average), something the Greendevils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
