Baseball Recap: Bishop Canevin Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Canevin had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Rochester Rams by a score of 5-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Kole Olszewski made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Olszewski wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Maddix, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another was James Healey, who earned three runs and one stolen base.

Bishop Canevin's record is now 11-6. As for Rochester, they moved to 8-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Bishop Canevin has already played their next matchup, a 16-1 defeat against Greensburg Central Catholic on the 20th. Rochester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
