Baseball Recap: Warren's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Warren had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 15-6 margin over the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars.

Jeremiah Casias was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. Warren is 2-1 when Casias posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Adrian Lopez, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Casias wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Warren kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for Warren: they were averaging 3.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 8.8.

Warren's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Floresville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Coming up, Warren will welcome Holmes at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday. Warren is facing Holmes at the right time seeing as Holmes is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Floresville, they will head out on the road to take on Pearsall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give Pearsall their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
