Basketball Recap: Ada Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Grayson Morris and Caron Richardson

Ada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Enid Plainsmen.

Caron Richardson and Grayson Morris certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Richardson posted 18 points, while Morris had seven points and six boards. Morris also posted two assists, marking his first of the season.

Even though they lost, Ada smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups.

Ada's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Enid, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Ada has already played their next contest, a 57-56 victory against Marshall on the 24th. As for Enid, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-53 win against Mount St. Mary on the 24th.
