Soccer Recap: Lithonia Takes a Loss

Lithonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Lithonia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 457th, while St. Pius X Catholic are ranked 87th).

Lithonia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for St. Pius X Catholic, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Lithonia will square off against Stephenson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lithonia will be up against Stephenson's rather soft defense (which has allowed five goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they will challenge Marist at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
