Platte Canyon had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They managed a 47-41 victory over the Clear Creek Golddiggers on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Zephyr Schuessler and Donovan Duke certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Schuessler posted 18 points and three steals, while Duke put up 17 points and six steals. Duke has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. Ian Hendrickson was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.

Looking ahead, Platte Canyon will venture away from home to face off against SkyView Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clear Creek, they will host Conifer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
