Recap: Manor Mustangs vs. Norview Pilots
If the Manor Mustangs were riding high off their 80-58 takedown of the Deep Creek Hornets last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The matchup between Manor and Norview wasn't particularly close, with Manor falling 53-36. While losing is never fun, Manor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Norview is ranked 36th).
Manor's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyceir Hughes, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and three steals, and Jaylin Ballard who scored 14 points.
Manor's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Norview, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manor will take on Granby at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Norview, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Norcom at 7:00 p.m.
