The biggest upset of the week belonged to LeRoy, who defeated 214th ranked LeRoy, 44-6.

Lexington was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fourth in Heart of Illinois. Earlier in the week, the Minutemen triumphed over Ridgeview 19-12.

Caleb Thames and Cole Wiegand gave Deer Creek-Mackinaw a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Thames threw for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Wiegand ran for 115 yards. Colton Clark also contributed to the rushing game with 69 yards on the ground.

Thames and Wiegand gave the Chiefs a balanced attack through the air and ground last week.

Thames put up the best numbers through the air as Deer Creek-Mackinaw fell to Heyworth.

Wiegand was the best running back in the league this week.

Hayden Fiedler was the best wideout in the league this week as Fisher defeated Tremont. Fiedler racked up 3 receptions for 46 yards. Drayton Purvis helped Fisher's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 16 yards.

Job Linboom's team's Thames and Ian Kilby have formed a dream team this season, leading Heart of Illinois in both passing and receiving yards. Thames has thrown for 203 yards this season, while Kilby, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 2 catches for 63 yards. Conrad Thomas from the Bunnies leads the league in rushing with 207 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Tri-Valley takes on El Paso-Gridley. As it stands, the Vikings are in first, while the Titans are in 10th.

Fieldcrest moved up to 378 from 467 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Knights were able to make move up by beating the Panthers 44-6.
