Volleyball Recap: Clovis North Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Levi West and Jacoby Hatfield

Clovis North lost against Clovis back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Clovis North fell just short of Clovis by a score of 3-2. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clovis North started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 19-25, 25-20, 25-14, 15-4.

Clovis North's loss came despite strong showings from Jacoby Hatfield and Levi West. Hatfield had 17 digs and one assist, while West had 11 kills and four digs. Those 17 digs gave Hatfield a new career-high. Caleb Cunha also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Clovis was led to victory by Markus Sevilla and Joel Toves. Sevilla had 11 digs and two aces, while Toves had nine digs and four blocks.

Clovis North's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Clovis, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Coming up, Clovis North will take on Clovis East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clovis, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Buchanan on the 21st.
