Football Recap: Hagerty Huskies vs. Lake Mary Rams

After flying high against Timber Creek last Friday, Hagerty came back down to earth. The Huskies were outmatched by the Lake Mary Rams and fell 55-17. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Rams are ranked 26th).

Despite the defeat, Hagerty had strong showings from Makiye McBurse, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one TD, and Royce Jenkins, who threw for 117 yards and one touchdown. Ian Thornsbury also deserves some recognition as he passed for his first passing yards of the season.

Coming up, Hagerty will venture away from home to face off against Oviedo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Lake Mary, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Miami Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
