St. Joseph and Lakeshore are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2020, but not for long. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in St. Joseph's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.

Last Friday, St. Joseph blew past Gull Lake, posting a 46-7 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lakeshore, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They took down Kalamazoo Central 26-7 on Friday. The Lancers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

St. Joseph better keep an eye on Kaden Griffiths. He was instrumental in Lakeshore's win, rushing for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Lakeshore didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Drew Scholten.

Lakeshore's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for St. Joseph, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went St. Joseph's way against Lakeshore in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as St. Joseph made off with a 41-21 victory. In that game, the Bears amassed a halftime lead of 20-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
